Fins, Fishes and Fisheries

Course Description: Fins, Fishes and Fisheries is a 4.5 day professional learning opportunity for K-12 and informal educators held at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab from June 18 - June 22. The workshop consists of content delivery (by research scientists), field work, and exploration of hands-on activities suitable for the classroom/laboratory at the elementary, middle school and high school grade bands.

Course Fees and Expenses: NO FEE (registration fee refunded upon completion of workshop)

Scholarships, Fellowships, Associated with the Course: This professional learning opportunity is fully sponsored by the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium. In addition to room and board at DISL during the workshop, support includes field trip costs, tuition and resources distributed to teachers during the workshop.
