Course Description: MAR/BIO 340

The distribution, population size, physiology, evolution, adaptations and ecological relationships of marine mammals will be studied with an emphasis on mammals of the Atlantic Ocean. This course will stress hands on understanding of marine mammal physiology, behavior and species diversity. This course will emphasize data collection in the field, and subsequent analysis in the laboratory and presentation of the data through a required mini-research project.
