Sea Grant Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship

Position Description: Successful applicants will spend one year in a legislative or executive host office in the Washington, DC area. An eligible applicant is any student, regardless of citizenship, who is enrolled towards a degree in a graduate or professional program in an accredited U.S. institution as of the application deadline. Competition for these select fellowships is nationwide in scope, and involves a formal application process, screening interviews, and a final selection process of the most qualified candidates.

Recent South Carolina fellows have had placements with the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources, Office of Senator Daniel. K. Akaka (D-HI), Office of Assistant Administrator for NOAA Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, NOAA Fisheries, and NOAA Legislative Affairs.
