Postdoctoral Position in Marsh Biogeomorphology, GIS, and Modeling

Position Description: A grant-funded postdoctoral position, based at the Baruch Institute, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, is available for sea-level rise response modeling that will be conducted for salt marsh sites within four national parks in the northeast. The goal is to forecast salt marsh accretion and plant community change.
The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in marine or coastal-related science, engineering, or geosciences and will be highly skilled in GIS, computer modeling, data analysis using SAS or R, a programming language (Matlab or Python preferred), marsh ecology, and English language. There will be opportunities to travel to the project sites as well as for additional training at USC, networking, professional development, social interaction, and teaching through the USC Postdoctoral Association.
