Position Description: Humboldt State University's Department of Oceanography is hiring for a tenure-track faculty position in Physical Oceanography. This position is an academic year appointment staring in August 2018. We desire to hire at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates should be committed to teaching excellence and to building a strong research record. Instructional assignments may include: Physical Oceanography, General Oceanography, Marine Sampling Techniques, Oceans and Climate, General Physics, and upper division Physics classes. The specific courses to be taught will depend on the candidate's strengths and the specific needs of the College. Teaching assignments will be in the Department of Oceanography (home department), as well as in the Department of Physics & Astronomy, as required.
