Course Description: BIOL 305

An introduction to the taxonomy, biology, and ecology of fishes with an emphasis on freshwater and marine habitats of the eastern shore of Virginia. We will learn about the major groups of fishes within an evolutionary context. Field trips will include seining, trap netting, electrofishing, trawling, and long lining.
